In a few sentences, tell us about yourself and your writing journey?
π My name is Brittany and I'm an Indie author from East Texas who enjoys writing poetry! I currently have 2 books published and working on a future book of poems π . I started writing in my teens when I was going through some hard times and writing was my escape from reality. I write from the heart, my heart is the one that leads my pen. I write about love, mental health, self-love and encouragement. When I am not writing, I am a caregiver for my family going on 6yrs+. I care for my mother and my special needs brother. I love them dearly. I also have 3 animals. I have 2 dogs plus a kitten. Their names are Max π Daisy π and Kiddy aka "Kit Kat" π. In my spare time, I love listening to music mostly Lo-Fi R&B at the moment, journaling, taking my brother out to concerts and finding fun activities. I have yet to be a vendor but I plan on it next year I'm super excited about thatπ€©
What genres do you write in, and why did you choose them?
My genre of writing is poetry because it's the only genre that allows me to translate what my heart feels onto paper.
What is the title of your latest book?
Self-Love Journey Embrace The Light Within
Who would you say this book is perfect for?
For those who are on a self-healing as well as self-love journey
Where can people purchase your book?*
What advice would you give to new or aspiring authors?
My advice to new or aspiring authors is give yourself grace on days when you are unable to write. Keep a notebook or notepad beside you for when you feel the need to write and tell your story. You never know who needs to hear it.
Is there anything else you would like readers to know?
The only thing I would like for readers to know is that I hope whenever you read my writing that you feel hopeful, understood, and uplifted.
